Icy Wavs combines lofi beats with a passion for anime movies and their typical characters. In this style he has already realized a variety of collaborations with various producers.

My ambition for our project was to work with the 5 samples curated by him in such a way that their original vibe is preserved, but the five productions do not resemble each other too much and carry the Konda Unstruct signature.

Gashapon is the name given to a variety of capsule toys dispensed to vending machines in Japan. "Gashapon" is onomatopoeic from the two sounds "gasha" for the hand cranking of a toy vending machine and "pon" for the landing of the toy capsule in the collection tray. It is used both for the machines themselves and for the toys obtained from them.

In analogy to the automata, all 5 tracks bear the names of Japanese cult figures, which could be a collectors item in such a capsule.

Icy Wavs verkünpft Lofi Beats mit der Leidenschaft für Anime Filme und deren typische Charaktere. In diesem Stil sind bereits eine Vielzahl von Kollaborationen mit diversen Produzenten entstanden.

Mein Anspruch bei unserem gemeinsamen Projekt war es, mit den von Ihm 5 kuratierten Samples so zu arbeiten das Ihr ursprünglicher Vibe erhalten bleibt, die fünf Produktionen sich aber nicht zu sehr ähneln und die Konda Unstruct Handschrift tragen.

Als Gashapon wird eine Vielzahl von in Japan an Automaten abgegebenen Kapselspielzeugen bezeichnet. "Gashapon" ist onomatopoeisch aus den beiden Klängen "gasha" für das Handkurbeln eines Spielzeugautomaten und "pon" für die Landung der Spielzeugkapsel in der Auffangschale. Es wird sowohl für die Maschinen selbst als auch für die daraus gewonnenen Spielzeuge verwendet.

In Analogie zu den Automaten tragen alle 5 Tracks die Namen von Japanischen Kultfiguren, die als Sammerobjekt in so einer Kapsel stecken könnten.
