„Ich wollte immer schon eine Hommage an die Mystery-, Horror-, Science Fiction Filme und Psychothriller der Achtziger Jahre produzieren.
Der Synthwave-Sound hat mich seit meiner frühen Kino Zeit in den 1980er immer begleitet - Auch später beim Sammeln von Soundtracks auf Vinyl.

Der visionäre Space Sound von John Carpenter, Goblin, Wendy Carlos, Jean- Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Vangelis oder Giorgio Moroder ist maßgeblich mit in dieses Album eingeflossen. Man wird an diverse Genre Film Klassiker erinnert, sobald man die gewählten Sounds der damals analogen Synthesizer hört.

Dank der Prägung durch Filmmusik und der Retro 80’er Welle in den aktuellen 2020er TV Serien und Filmen ist das Gefühl für diese 'zeitlos-futuristische' Musik wieder gewachsen und hat mich zu "Kollision Köln" motiviert.

Ich habe zeitgemäße Synth Sounds, Drums und Effekte kombiniert, die fertigen Tracks dann mit einem Sharp Kassettenrekorder GF 9191
(Baujahr 1979) von digitaler Quelle auf Tape überspielt.
Diese Aufnahmen habe ich mit einem Analog Equalizer ausgesteuert und gemastert um den analogen Druck in die digital produzierten Tracks zum bekommen.“

"I always wanted to produce a tribute to the mystery, horror, science fiction movies and psychological thrillers of the eighties.
The synthwave sound has always been with me since my early cinema days in the 1980s - Even later when collecting soundtracks on vinyl.

The visionary space sound of John Carpenter, Goblin, Wendy Carlos, Jean- Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Vangelis or Giorgio Moroder has been significantly incorporated into this album. One is reminded of various genre film classics as soon as one hears the chosen sounds of the analog synthesizers of that time.

Thanks to the influence of film music and the retro 80's wave in the current 2020's TV series and movies, the feeling for this 'timeless-futuristic' music has grown again and motivated me to create "Kollision Köln".

I combined contemporary synth sounds, drums and effects, then recorded the finished tracks with a Sharp cassette recorder GF 9191
(build 1979) from digital source to tape.
I used an analog equalizer to equalize and master these recordings to get the analog punch into the digitally produced tracks."
